The SCOR Corporate Foundation for Science furthers scientific research in the field of risks by partnering with prestigious universities and museums to finance the research chairs detailed below.
- The SCOR-TSE Chair, a research chair on Risk in collaboration with the Risk Foundation and Toulouse School of Economics, is dedicated to the risk market and to value creation. The aim of the chair is to support theoretical and applied research on risk sharing, with a view to combining the methodologies of financial economics, industrial organization and econometrics;
- The SCOR-PSE Chair, a research chair on macroeconomic risk at the Paris School of Economics, deals with extreme and long-term macroeconomic risks, the impact of uncertainty on macroeconomic balance, and the contagion of extreme macroeconomic risks and crises;
- The SCOR-MNHN Chair, a research chair in partnership with the French Natural History Museum, aims to assess the current diversity situation and to study the current and potential interactions between biodiversity and (re)insurance, particularly in terms of damage caused and constraints to be imposed.
